Step 1: Connect your phone to the G-box via Wi-Fi.
Power on the G-Box by pressing the small button once. The SSID name and password are located on the side of your G-Box. Open settings, Wi-Fi in your smart device and select the SSID name that corresponds with your G-Box, Type in the password that is located on your G-Box.
Step 2:Bind your drone with the G-box (via EHANG PLAY app).
Open the EHANG Play App select the settings gear in the top left corner of the App and then open the Binding Tab and press start bind. The G-Box is now waiting for the Ghost to be powered on.
Step 3: Power on the Ghostdrone.
Press the battery button once and then hold until the EHANG logo glides across the screen and the Ghostdrone powers on. Wait for the App to display Binding Successful. The Ghostdrone is now connected to your G-Box.
Step 4: Complete a compass calibration before flying.
It is important that you calibrate the compass each time before you fly. In order to calibrate the compass you must be in an open area outdoors 20ft away from any metal objects.
I have connected the battery, G-Box and my phone to the Ghostdrone, but there is still no response from the drone.
Please check a. if the Bluetooth/wifi icon on your app is on, b. if the Ghost icon is flashing (heart beating), c. if there is enough battery. If all conditions are met, please restart the app and redo all the connections.
Why was I not able to unlock the Ghostdrone?
Make sure your Ghost is successfully bound to your mobile device. Check the indication bar on the bottom of the screen in Avatar or on top in Waypoints Mode. If you see a flashing heartbeat icon, you should be able to unlock the Ghostdrone.
Why can’t I take off after unlocking the Ghostdrone?
First, please check the indication bar located on the bottom of the screen in Avatar or on top in Waypoints Mode. To successfully unlock the Ghostdrone, you will need at minimum 20% battery life, at least 6 satellites and a flashing heartbeat icon. If all of these requirements are fulfilled but you still can’t unlock the drone, please restart the app/G-Box/Goggle, or re-install the app and bind the G-Box again.
Why is the Ghostdrone shaking when taking off and landing?
Before take-off, please make sure that you choose the correct configuration in your app, e.g. Ghostdrone 2.0 standard/Aerial/Aerial Plus. Make sure that the Ghostdrone is taking off and landing on a smooth level surface.
If I get a phone call while the Ghostdrone is in the air, will the Ghostdrone lose signal and crash?
The Ghostdrone will auto hover when someone calls you. You can take the phone call or hit decline and return to flying. If the battery hits a critical low level (20%) while you are on the phone the Ghostdrone will activate return home automatically.
What if my phone dies while the Ghostdrone is in the air?
The Ghostdrone will automatically return to the take-off point after it loses signal with the phone for more than 5 seconds. The Ghostdrone will not activate auto land until the battery level is at 7-5%.

Why is there no response when I click “Companion Mode”?
You must be in Waypoint Mode, have a minimum of 6 satellites, and your smart phones GPS turned on. To enter Companion Mode first, click “Hover/Pause” then press the Companion Mode icon. The Ghostdrone will now follow you at that distance and altitude. To exit Companion Mode press the Hover/Pause button or set a new waypoint.
What happens if the app is closed or not responding while the Ghostdrone is in the air?
The Ghostdrone treats this as a lost signal and will return to its original take off point. If you are unable to re start the App the Ghostdrone will slowly descend when the battery level hits 7-5%.
Can Ghostdrone 2.0 automatically avoid obstacles by itself?
No, the Ghostdrone 2.0 presently does not have geo-fencing to avoid obstacles. Please pay attention to your surroundings and avoid flying into trees/buildings and other obstacles. Fly in a large open areas away from people.
What if I accidentally touch the “Lock” button while the Ghostdrone is flying?
If you hit the “Lock” button accidentally while the drone is in the air, a warning window will pop up to ask if you are sure you want to lock the drone. The drone won’t lock itself until you hit “Yes” If you yes the Ghostdrone will stop the motors and fall.
Can I use the propeller guard and the landing gear at the same time?
Yes, you can. We recommend using the propeller guards when flying in close quarters near people, buildings or other obstacles.
How do I update the App and download the user manual?
You will be notified in the Ehang Play App when there is an update available. You can always download the newest version App and user manual on http://www.ehang.com/download/ or update it in the respective Google play and App store.
How does each sku of Ghostdrone 2.0 differ from each other?
All 4 skus are based on the same platform. Additional accessories are added on each same sku of the Ghostdrone 2.0 basic.
If I already own a Ghostdrone 2.0, can I buy a gimbal separately and upgrade to the Ghostdrone Aerial myself?
Yes! All the accessories can be easily assembled and you can even build your own Ghostdrone VR with additional goggle and cameras purchased. If you’d like to purchase spare parts or accessories, you can go to the link HERE , or contact Customer Service.
Can I use the EHANG VR Goggle with other devices?
Yes, the EHANG VR Goggles work with other drones, except for the head-tracking functionality. Our Goggles are compatible with most 5.8 GHz video transmitters.
Can I use a tablet instead of a phone to play with Ghostdrone 2.0?
Yes, you can use a tablet, such as an iPad or Android Tablet. However, if the smart device has no cellular/internet connectivity then you will not be able to view the map interface in Waypoint mode or Avatar mode.
Can I use a third-party accessory or make my own physical adjustment on my Ghostdrone?
No. For safety reasons, please use official EHANG accessories on your Ghostdrone. EHANG will NOT be responsible for any damages directly or indirectly caused by a third-party accessory.
What are the differences between Ghostdrone 1.0 and 2.0?

What non Ehang branded cameras are compatible with the Ghostdrone 2.0 Aerial?
You can use GoPro 3, GoPro3+ and Gopro 4. Ghost HD Camera with 2D gimbal (First generation Ehang branded Camera 1080p) doesn’t work with Ghostdrone 2.0.
How far/high can Ghostdrone 2.0 fly?
The maximum flight distance is 1 kilometer (approximately 0.6 miles) in any direction. The actual flight distance depends on the flight condition (weather, wind, environment etc.) And to ensure a safe flight, please never fly your drone out of the view
I receive ERR message on the battery screen, what should I do?
If it's ERR1, restart the battery and the problem will be fixed.
If it's ERR4, please contact the customer service and we will fix it for you.
Where do I download the Ehang Play App from?
For both the Android and iOS App, please go to http://www.ehang.com/download/ to download the newest version. Or alternatively, you can download both from the Google Play store or the iPhone App store as well.
How can I tell if I need to upgrade the firmware of my Ghostdrone?
To easily see what version firmware you have simply bind your smartphone to the Ghostdrone and then select the About Tab under settings. The firmware version and App version will be displayed.
